Queensland Education and Career Landscape

Even though Queensland high schools were set to replace the Overall Position (OP) score with the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) to align the state with the rest of the country by the start of 2018, the overhaul now won’t be implemented until 2019.

The State Government has also drafted a report aimed at upskilling students with a vocational focus. Advancing skills for the future: A strategy for vocational education and training in Queensland outlines the importance of VET, the key industries that will experience growth in the next five years and a vision for accessible, high quality training.

To learn more about the education and careers landscape in Queensland, as well as on a national scale, ensure you attend the Brisbane ACS Seminars.
