The Victorian Government has announced the Free TAFE for Priority Courses scheme, where the tuition fees of 50 vocational courses that lead to in-demand jobs will be subsidised by the Government. This will reduce the financial barrier for prospective students, while equipping the Victorian economy with skilled workers in priority industries.
The Australian Government’s National Innovation and Science Agenda will enter its final stage, with over $500 million in funding being allocated towards the promotion of STEM participation and digital literacy. Regional Victoria is experiencing a significant jobs boom, with country businesses inviting managers, engineers, teachers, doctors, veterinarians and labourers to fill critical job vacancies in the state’s rural areas.
