WA education and careers landscape

The 2017-2018 Federal Budget revealed that Western Australia will benefit from a $5 billion investment in education, which is a $142 million (2.9%) boost compared to the previous year.

After a tough few years, the Western Australian economy appears to be back on the right track with 40,000 new jobs since December 2016, dropping the state’s underemployment rate from 6.6 per cent to 5.7 percent.

Stages of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) continue to roll out nation-wide, providing a steady increase of jobs in the health and aged care sector, a theme examined in the upcoming 2018 edition of The Good Careers Guide.

To learn more about the education and careers landscape in Western Australia, as well as on a national scale, ensure you attend the Perth ACS Seminar.
